Luisa Pastor

Luisa Pastor studied Fine Arts at the University of Granada (2001). She completed Doctoral Courses at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Granada (2001-2003) and holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the University Miguel Hernández, Alicante (2016). Diploma in photography at the Gimnasio de Arte in Mexico City (2016- 2017).


She has had several scholarships and grants among which we can highlight Scholarship of Excellence of Special Programs of the Mexican Government (SRE/AMEXCID) of “Estancias de Creación Artística”, Mexico City (2015- 2016); de Creación Artística”, Mexico City (2015- 2016); Beca Producción de Arte, Cátedra de Arte Contemporáneo Antonio Miró, Universidad de Alicante. (2017); Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at UNAM Fellow of the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas, advised by Dr. Cuauhtémoc Medina, Mexico City (2018), as well as with several awards such as Salón ACME no 4. , Mexico City (2015); Focus International Painting Award, Fundación de Cultura, Seville (2016); Bodega ACME, Mexico City (2017); the BilbaoArte Fundación Award (Production Aid), Bilbao (2020); and the Residency Grant convened by the C3A Centro de Creación Contemporánea de Andalucía and DKV (2022- 2023), with the project in collaboration with Juan Cantizzani and Luisa Pastor: “Eutropia. Tectonic Voices”.

In 2020, she was the artist selected to represent Spain in the Biennial “Paper Routes- Women to Watch 2020” at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington D.C. Among her latest exhibitions, highlight some solo exhibitions such as Debe/Haber/Saldo, Nordés Gallery, Santiago de Compostela (2018); Cuerpos de fábrica, Sala El Cub del MUA, Alicante (2019) and other group exhibitions such as Sons improbábeis, curated by Iñaki Martínez Antelo, Auditorio de Galicia, Santiago de Compostela (2022); Trazos. Archivos de la memoria, Sala Juana Francés, University of Alicante (2022).


Her work has been acquired by important collections such as: DKV Collection (Valencia), OTAZU Foundation (Navarra), Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada (Granada), among others.
She has been awarded the Focus-Abengoa International Painting Prize, Seville (2016), among others.


Her work has also been present in national and international fairs: ARTBO (2022), ARCOmadrid (2021-2022), ESTAMPA (2021) or JustLX-Lisbon (2018), among others.
