The exhibition Inter-Acciones marks the third cycle of the agreement between the Museo Universitario de la Universidad de Antioquia (MUUA) and the Fundación para las Artes Cisneros Fontanals (CIFO). This exhibition will open on October 26, 2024 and will remain open until April 4, 2025. This exhibition brings together works by ten Latin American artists supported by the CIFO 2024 Grants and Commissions Program, along with four local artists awarded in previous editions.

The Inter-Acciones exhibition explores a broad spectrum of contemporary artistic languages, ranging from traditional techniques to new technologies. The works address relevant themes such as forced migration, gender violence, social and ecological crisis, and the tensions between the natural and the artificial. Each project establishes an interdisciplinary dialogue linking art and social sciences, generating an interactive aesthetic experience that invites the public to reflect on global and local issues.

In this edition, the work Espejismo (Mirage) by Cuban artist Glenda León is part of the exhibition. In a magical moment where reasoned reality and irrational reality intersect and converge in completely plausible and familiar images or forms, Glenda León explores her interest in mathematical fractals.

In mathematical fractals, each pattern is composed of smaller copies of itself, and those smaller copies of infinitely smaller copies. In this way, the artist alludes, from an imaginary coincidence, both to the interrelation of the elements of the world and to the intrinsic power of human beings to create their own reality and transform it.

The CIFO-MUUA alliance reaffirms the commitment to creation and research in contemporary art, offering a platform for Latin American artists to develop and exhibit unpublished projects, thus promoting cultural exchange and creativity in the region.
