Ana Isabel Díez
Ana Isabel Diez is an artist whose work explores social issues, particularly the relationship between landscape and women. Inspired by the metaphor of the female body as a landscape, her work addresses the vulnerability of nature and its reflection in female experiences, creating pieces with a universal language from intimate stories. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to experiment with diverse media and techniques, and her unique vision has been shaped by her training at renowned art institutions in Europe and the United States, such as MassArt and the School of Visual Arts in New York.
She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Antioquia, where she researches weaving as a form of artistic expression linked to gender. She has presented her work in spaces such as the Museum of Antioquia, the Museum of Modern Art of Medellin and Bogota, and in international galleries. In 2023, she was invited to the International Artist's Book Triennial in Lithuania, continuing her trajectory in events and exhibitions that explore the relationship between body, territory, and gender.
