La Cometa Gallery is pleased to announce the representation of distinguished Colombian artist Juan Cárdenas Arroyo, born in 1939. Known for his unique aesthetic, Cárdenas transcends artistic conventions to explore the complexity of the human figure and its relationship with space and time.

Throughout his prolific career, Cárdenas has excelled in merging diverse artistic currents, including Cubism, Impressionism, Abstract Art, and Figurative Art. This ability has allowed him to create unique works that defy conventional categorizations. His work is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and deep sensitivity to the complexities of human experience, reflecting profound self-reflection.

His solo exhibition, titled “Juan Cárdenas: Paintings and Drawings,” will open on May 18 at La Cometa Bogotá. The show will feature unpublished works created in the last ten years, including paintings on canvas and drawings on paper.
