Exhibition ¨ALTER NATURA¨ by Juan Carlos Delgado in the Museo de Arte de Pereira

This exhibition is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences of the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira 1993-2023, being the pioneer programme of Environmental Management in Latin America. Today the Faculty also has two undergraduate degrees in Sustainable Tourism.

Alter Natura is an exhibition divided into three chapters that open as multiple reflections on the importance of natural resources, represented through artistic expressions such as paintings, installations and sculptures, most of which belong to the collection of the Museo de Arte de Pereira and others from a private collection that made possible its exhibition in our Museum; bringing together 25 works by 20 artists of different generations, who manifest in different media, their visions of the world, covering landscapes from the provinces with their rural traditions to the large urban centres, with their practices and trades in close dependence on the resources of the peripheries. Artists who, beyond representing their research-creation processes in a naturalistic way, offer a vision that at all times we are in coexistence with nature, regulating processes and adapting ourselves.
